Christmas in Galveston

This year was our year to be in Galveston for Christmas. We had a wonderful time and it was a ton of fun watching Henry open Christmas gifts this year. It was the first year for him to really understand Santa Claus. However, he did wake up Christmas morning crying after we said, "guess who came last night Henry!" He said Santa Claus with tears coming down his face. We asked him why he was crying and he said, I missed him, I was suppose to see him. I wish I had it on video because it was so cute. He got over it quickly after he saw all the gifts under the tree. As for Grant, he was just happy sitting in Pops lap playing with the tissue and wrapping paper. Next year should be a riot with the 2 of them opening gifts.
You'll see in the slide show a little penguin (named Sweet Pea.) Henry got to go behind the scenes at the Aquarium for a one on one penguin encounter. He was a little timid at first but warmed up to her after an while and now won't stop talking about her.

Christmas in memory of Madeline

Well Christmas has come and gone and we had a great year. This year, our sweet little Maddie would have been 4 yrs. old on the 13th of Dec. We continued our tradition of donating gifts to a child in need with down syndrome. This year we donated to a cute little boy named Jesus. He turned 1yr. on the 7th of Dec. and was just darling. Every time his mom reached for a gift, his face lit up with a huge smile. He got a lot of great stuff to help him not only develop, but to help his family out as well. Thank you to all of our donors. Your help was greatly appreciated, and we know that Maddie appreciates it as well. Check out the photos of Jesus below. I tried to get pictures of all the gifts, but I had trouble concentrating with Henry and Grant both with me. Please forgive me if you don't see your gift.
